This is my role so you know it's gonna be awesome!
Ok, so in the non-Disney world you may know this role by the
name of ‘Retail’ or something similar.
You could be working in one of the hundreds of merchandise locations
around the Walt Disney World resort, which includes not just the parks but also
the resort hotels and Downtown Disney area.
To be honest I am so super excited about what location I could end up
at!
The official Disney role description (that I am VERY
familiar with) is:
Merchandise
- Demonstrating and selling merchandise (including alcohol and tobacco) in indoor and outdoor areas
- Cash handling - manual and using computerized registers
- Stocking and cleaning shelves and carts
- Receiving/putting away stock and deliveries
- Stroller/wheelchair rental – including repetitive lifting, stacking and pushing strollers and wheelchairs
- Preparation of food/candy
- Preparing packages for shipping/delivery
I don’t know much about this role yet, but in a few months I
will no doubt be an expert so check back for updates!
